Dear Loyal AutoCon Fans, Sponsors and Car Enthusiasts,

For those of you who don’t personally know me, my name is Justin Fong, fellow car enthusiast and the founder of AutoCon Events.

Over the last year, unforeseen circumstances in my personal life caused for an abrupt stepping away from the car scene and event planning. This was an extremely difficult decision for me to make, as AutoCon has been a huge part of my life for over a decade, but I felt that it was necessary to put the event on hold.

It has been a little over 1 year since my absence and much to my surprise, my former trusted AutoCon team member whom I was working with very closely for the past 9 years has deleted all of AutoCon’s images and video content off the official Instagram account and changed the account name to a now rebranded @thetunershow (The Tuner Show). AutoCon’s social presence has been deleted – the username, password and emails were all changed preventing me and my team from logging back in. There has been no effort for communication prior to this malicious act and it really hurts to see a decade of amazing fan submitted, original content be wiped from existence by a trusted friend and former team member.

Due to floods of questions and overall confusion, we believe a large amount of AutoCon supporters were misled and deceived to believe that the recent Tuner Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center was an AutoCon event due to the unauthorized use AutoCon’s original content, I feel this is a long overdue announcement.

AUTOCON IS NOT AFFILIATED IN ANYWAY TO THE TUNER SHOW.

As for the time being, there are no immediate events scheduled for AutoCon. However, I am working with my team to find the best alternative to have the spirit of AutoCon live on and be present in the car community.

I also want to apologize to those who I’ve had relationships with and supported the events throughout the years. Friends, family, team members, affiliates, partners, sponsors, vendors, car builders, enthusiasts, fans and most importantly, YOU. I am extremely grateful for the community that was built over the past decade and I would love the opportunity to reconnect you. Thank you.
